Sunfair Beagles

Beagle Facts

Beagles are scent hounds and therefore have and inbred desire to sniff the ground.
Because of the beagles love of sniffing they have no road sense and must not be allowed to roam the streets freely.

Beagles need to be kept in good securly fenced backyards, and should be exercised on a lead.

Beagles are from the hound group, which means they are a pack dog.  They also love to hunt and sniff, but more imprtantly they love their food.  It is important to watch your beagles weight.  An adult dog should weigh between 10-12 kgs, and it is important to adjust their diet accordingly.  It is very easy to overfeed your dog they have the most appealing eyes.

Did you know that Snoopy is the most famous beagle of all.

Beagles are a short coated dog who do not require a lot of grooming,
however they should be brushed at least a couple of times a week.
Do not over bath your dog as their skin and coat will be better for it.
